University of Malaya Information Technology Fiesta (UMiTF) is a brand new event co-organized by the Student Representative Council of University of Malaya (MPMUM) and the Faculty of Computer Science & Information Technology.

UmiTF will be held in Dewan Tunku Canselor (DTC) and Komplex Perdanasiswa (KPS) for 6 days, from 24 July 2009 – 29 July 2009. The event as a whole comprises of an ICT fair, and ICT and Robotic exhibition, as well a variety of other exciting events.

With the goals of increasing public awareness on Malaysia's ICT technologies and to promote social integration, UmiTF hopes to be the pioneer amongst the universities in Malaysia in addressing the importance and value of ICT to the nation.

Various gadgets will be on sale during the ICT fair such as notebooks, digital cameras, thumb drives, and so forth. Many industry key players and well-known brands will set up booths in the designated venue, each promoting its own unique innovations and products of interest in the many areas of ICT. The ICT and Robotic Exhibition on the other hand will present the researches and inventions of experts in this field to the general public.
